Beans: Your home away from home

My name is Beca, I’m a neurodivergent, bisexual woman from Melbourne who has always felt a little bit out of place and like I didn’t quite fit in - Along comes Beans.

Firstly, why Beans? Les-bean, flick the bean, but most importantly, the love of my life - My cat Yam (also known as Yambean, Bean, Beanie, Beanbag).

The idea behind Beans came from a joke I made on Tik Tok about opening a lesbian bar. Turns out, I have great follow through! I then expanded on this idea by adding trans, non-binary and neurodivergent as I find these communities are often left out of queer spaces and spaces in general. Inclusivity, equality and equity are important to me and I endeavour to tick all of those boxes with the creation of Beans.
